Dr. Anthony Romeo has co-authored a new article on Ulnar Collateral Ligament Reconstruction (Tommy John Surgery).
Tommy John Surgery, which is medically referred to as Ulnar Collateral Ligament Reconstruction, has become an epidemic in our high school age pitchers over the past decade. While our major league pitchers get all the press, more than 60% of these surgeries are performed in teenagers between the age of 15-19. This new article reviews our current understanding of Tommy John Surgery and what our athletes can expect after the procedure.
