Dr. Anthony Romeo To Perform Shoulder Surgery On White Sox Pitcher Jake Peavy

White Sox pitcher Jake Peavy announced last week that he will be undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery on the right latissimus dorsi muscle – which controls deceleration of the arm but is not involved directly with the throwing process.

Dr. Anthony A. Romeo was the overwhelming choice by Dr. James Andrews and a host of other doctors to perform this surgery.

The surgery will be performed this Wednesday, July 14, by Dr. Anthony Romeo at Rush University Hospital in Oak Park.
